Melissa meets her neighbour Andrew Wyatt during orientation week at university.
He’s cute, confident and her adversary in the Great Debate.
Will the right sort of sparks fly?
Boy from Bangalow is the prequel to Over Byron Bay. It’s set at a time when Melissa’s father is mourning the loss of his wife to cancer. Motivated to get him out of the house, Melissa offers to participate in the debate arguing against the proposition that The Pen is Mightier than the Paintbrush, unaware that her neighbour will be her adversary. She’s successful in getting her father to come along to the event and is less motivated about winning the debate. That is until Andrew’s arguments touch a nerve.
